The new international air route from Taipei to Miyazaki in Japan will be launched by Taiwan’s China Airlines from January 21, 2010.

Located to the southeast of Kyushu, Miyazaki is the origin of many Japanese myths, and also the hometown of Japan’s first Mikado. It has famous tourist attractions such as Aoshima shrine and Takachiho Gorge.

It is scheduling two flights each week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Flight No. CI-114 will take off from Taipei at 14:00 and arrive at Miyazaki at 16:50 local time; the return flight CI-115 will depart from Miyazaki at 18:00 and get back to Taipei at 19:25 local time.

With the launch of this new flight, China Airlines will have 81 flights each week flying to 8 destinations in Japan including Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Miyazaki, and Ryukyu.
