72-Hour Visa Free Transit in Guilin

Since the conference of Guilin International Tourism and Construction Planning was approved by the State Council, Guilin is imminently required for a convenient Visa policy. In view of the great potential of Guilin tourism, Guilin was approved by the state Council to be the 9th custom that vaild for 72-hour Visa Free Transit for the travelers from 51 countries. The policy is carried on from July 28, 2014.



Guilin, as one of the earliest opening tourism destinations in China for over 40 years, Guilin has become one of the most popular tourism destinations in China for foreign tourists. In 2013, Guilin welcomed more than 35 million tourists, 19.4 million foreign tourists among them. The 72-Hour Visa Free Transit policy allows foreigners from designated 51 countries to visit Guilin without visa for 72 hours as long as they meet the requirements of the policy. During the 72 hours, tourists can arrange their time accordingly, for example, hiking on Longsheng Rice Terrace, the path along Li River, riding at Yangshuo Countryside, bamboo rafting on river, or sitting and looking at the town silently, and so on. In general Guilin touring duration, foreigners prefer to spend around two to three days in Guilin. So, 72 hours are exactly appropriate time for Guilin tour.
