Beauty of Jiuzhaigou Valley

Jiuzhaigou Valley
Jiuzhaigou Valley located in the south central Nanping County of Aba Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province with a depth of over 40 kilometers and a total area of more than 60 thousand hectares is made up of three main valleys in a Y shape with a total length of above 60 kilometers. For the inconvenient traffic, this place is almost isolated from the outside world. Jiuzhaigou named for the nine Tibetan villages located in the towering and steep mountains is represented by 3 valleys and 118 seas with the main scenery of waterscapes including five beaches and twelve waterfalls, tens rivers and tens of springs and some natural landscapes of mountains and valleys composed of the nine villages and twelve peaks.

The beauty of Jiuzhaigou lies in its waters. There are many lakes which are named seas by the local people. It is said that there are 108 seas of different sizes, the smallest of which is less than 0.5 acre in acreage and the longest is the Long Sea of 7 kilometers length; and the scenery of Long Sea is the most beautiful and impressive in all the seas. The nearby green water is so clear to see the bottom of the sea while the distant blue water is so calm; trees at both sides are reflected in the water. The color with a main turning of green combined with the quiet surrounding environment makes visitors feel that they come into a fairyland.
