All day Dunhuang highlight to Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Spring and Sing Sand Desert Mountain. If you would like to enjoy sunrise in Mt. Sing Sand or sunset in Crescent Spring, please tell us to arrange.

--Mogao Grottoes: Situated at a strategic point along the Silk Route, at the crossroads of trade as well as religious, cultural and intellectual influences, along a 1,500-meter precipice and the 492 cells and cave sanctuaries in Mogao are famous for their statues and wall paintings, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art (from the 4th - 14th century).
--Crescent Spring: Crescent Spring is said to be the point where the oasis meets the desert. Crescent Moon Lake is a natural spring fed pond measuring about 240 meters from east to west, and 50 meters from north to south.
--Sing Sand Desert Mountain: It is also called Roaring Mingsha Hill(Mingshashan). It offers the best picture-book desert scenery. The dune, surrounded by rolling ridges and precipitous cliffs, reaches a relative height of 250 meters. Seen from afar, the mountain is just like a golden dragon winding its way over the horizon. As you approach you become aware that the sand has many colors ranging from red to yellow, green, black and white.

* Dunhuang is an important hub city in Silk Road Booming period. Beside today's highlight near downtown Dunhuang city, you could have further discovdry of Dunhuang by visiting West line (include Ancient Dunhuang Town, Western Thousand Buddha Caves, Yang Pass, Yumen Pass, Great Wall Ruins of Han Dynasty, Hecang City Ruins, Yardang Landform) and other spots (such as Leiyin Temple, West Jin Dynasty Tombs, Yulin Grottoes, Suoyang City Ruins, etc). These sites will take you about 2-3days.
* Now, Dunhuang is a really popular destination in China, especially in Summer Vacation (July-Auguest), if you book Dunhuang tour during the time, please book at least 1 month in advance. Becasue the entrance of Mogao Grottoes should reserved at least 21 days in advance (only 6,000 pesons allow to visit Mogao Grottoes every day).
