Quanzhou Transportation
Air
The Jinjiang Airport in Quanzhou is located on the eastern side of Donghuan Road in the city of Jinjiang, 12 kilometers from downtown Quanzhou. Domestic flights from there reach Beijing,Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Qingdao ,Wuhan, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Shenyang, Zhoushan, Hong Kong and Macao. International flights go to Manila and other cities in Southeast Asia.
Railways
The Quanzhou Railway Station is located in Xiamei Village east of Quanzhou City. Passenger trains run between Quanzhou and the cities of Nanping, Nan'an, Sanming, Jian'ou, Longyan, Wuyishan, Nanchang, Huangshi, Ruijin, Ganzhou, Shangrao, Yingtan, Xiangfan, and Wuhan.
Highways
The central passenger bus staion in Quanzhou is located on Pingshan Road. It operates more than 380 bus routes reaching out to the cities in 11 provinces. The Fuzhou-Xiamen m Expressway runs through Quanzhou.
Waterways
The Shijing Dock in Shijing Town in Nan'an City under the Quanzhou Municipality operates ships between Quanzhou and Taiwan. A special tourist ship shuttles between Shijing in Quanzhou and Jinmen in Taiwan four times a day. The voyage has become a golden link for the exchanges bewteen Quanzhou and Taiwan.
Urban Traffic
The public bus fare in the urban area in Quanzhou is one or two yuan, depending on the length of the ride. The starting price of taxi is six yuan with 1.2-1.6 yuan for each additional kilometer and one yuan for gas supplement.
