Turtle Head Park Travel Guide

The Turtle Head Park lies on a peninsula which is in the northwestern shore of Lake Tai, and it is 18 km to downtown Wuxi City.Lake Tai (Taihu Lake) cover an area of over 2400 square kilometers, is one of the China's five major freshwater lakes, national scenic spots.

It is named Turtle Head Park because a huge rock head to Lake Tai looks like a turtle. The park was built in 1916 and current area is 539 hectares, it is the largest park in Wuxi. The park is really different from Garden scenery in this area, the scenery mix elegant Jiangnan/Suzhou Garden spirit with a wide expanse of waters.

You could hire a electric car to visit the park or take the ferry boat to Xian Island on the Lake Tai.
