April 3rd, 1987, after be closed more than 1,000 years, Famen Temple Underground Palace reopened again,excavated the only left Sakyamuni Finger Sarira (Buddhist Relics) and more than one thousand peerlessness treasures offered by 7 Tang Dynasty Emperors. This Famen Temple Museum is mainly for storaging and researching these treasures.
