Jingzhou Ancient City Wall is located at the west gate of Jinsha, Hubei Province, next to Kaiyuan Taoist Temple.The Ancient City Wall have been set up for more than 2,000 years since Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), it´s not only a historic places of interest but also a famous scenic area.

The Ancient City Wall was destroyed and rebuilt for several times during the wars in Song Dynasty (960-1279), Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368) and Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

According to the historic records, Jinsha is the existent best-kept ancient city in China because it was rebuilt for several times.The existent Ancient City Wall was completed rebuilt in 1646, Qing Dynasty, following the design and style of city walls in Ming Dynasty.

The Ancient City Wall in Jingsha winds like a huge dragon to Yangtze River.
